Pioneer TS-A6993R Review
Pioneer knows exactly
what cars needed to have great sounds, that is why they had come up with this
Pioneer TS-A6993R 5-WAY Speaker. This is a 6”x9” speaker with an
injection-molded polypropylene woofer. Woofers made from polypropylene is said
to provide excellent sound and can stand up moisture which car speakers always
experience. This is also toughened by basalt, Aramid fibers and graphite to
hold its form whenever you are driving. Its woofer surround is made of rubber to
keep the cone stir in smoothly when the volume cranks, which makes the bass to
keep it tight. With a mixture of cone tweeter, dome midrange speaker and a duo
of dome supertweeters you can be sure to have great vocals.
To ensure great
surrounds, this particular speaker uses butyl rubber for a smooth response.
Pioneer’s speaker engineers are aware that to have a great speaker it should be
able to handle more heat that is why its voice coils is coated with a 20-ounce
strontium magnet which also has a resistant polyester-imid resin. Each speaker
also has 1” lightweight dome midrange for low distortion and precise response.
For crisp and clear highs its super tweeter is made of PET silver film and has
a 3/8” diameter dome.
For a great power
range, it has a 460 watts peak power and a frequency response of 30-37,000 Hz.
Its sensitivity is 92 dB and has a top-mount depth of 3-3/8”. With all the good
specs incorporated in this speaker you can be sure to experience smooth sound
